Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is getting a Season Pass which includes an exclusive bonus quest available at launch, Ubisoft has announced.
Revealed in a trailer ahead of its December 7 release date, Frontiers of Pandora’s associate creative director Andrada Greciuc confirmed the game will feature two story expansions launching by the end of 2024 alongside an exclusive quest at launch that’s locked away from players who don’t own the Season Pass.
The Season Pass will be available essentially for an extra $40 / £24.99 in the game’s Gold Edition (priced at $109.99 / £94.99), which comes with some additional content too, and though Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed if it will be available as a standalone purchase, it almost certainly will. An Ultimate Edition is also available for $129.99 / £114.99.
Those who purchase the Season Pass will also receive the Resistance Equipment Pack gear set and the Resistance Banshee Cosmetic Set, seemingly at launch as well.
The first story pack, The Sky Breaker, launches in summer 2024 and takes players on a journey alongside the nomadic Zeswa clan as they venture into new areas of the Upper Plains. Things soon unfold, however, as a grand gathering of clans is interrupted by a mysterious shadow in the sky.
The second story pack, Secrets of the Spies, launches in fall 2024 and introduces a completely new region for players to explore. The Resources Development Administration has already begun its destructive mining here though, and it’s the players job to stop it.
In our preview of the game, IGN said: “Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is going to be instantly recognisable to anyone who has played a Far Cry game in the last decade. But with its jungle parkour systems, flying mount, and increased focus on harmony with the natural world, it is at the very least making some notable changes to the formula.”
