Earlier this week, Fnatic rifler Freddy “KRiMZ” Johansson and several other Swedish professionals who used matchmaking platform Esportal were erroneously banned by Valve Anti-Cheat.

Following the ban, Krimz requested in a tweet, “It seems that my account got VAC banned. CSGO, can you fix this ASAP please.”

Several unwarranted VAC bans in the past have been retracted within a couple of days or so.

A similar incident happened with Asian professionals who were falsely VAC banned due to matchmaking platform 5E’s anti-cheat.

The false-positive bans have been dealt with and the VAC bans are retracted.

They further apologised to the users and unambiguously stated that the bans have “Nothing to do with actual cheating”.

Eventually, both the parties have fixed the issue and the unwarranted VAC bans have been retracted.
